Led by Lieutenant Clayton, ex-10th Hussars. Leading file: R. S. M. Bennett, ex-2nd Life Guards and later Captain Lord Strathcona's horse. This picture was taken in Sarcee Army Camp and every man in the troop was an ex-British Cavalryman or ex-North-West Mounted Police. Bennett's lance was an Indian pig-sticker.
