Meat being dried in the sun on the Sarcee reserve.
Upon receiving an issue of meat in the summer, the Sarcee women immediately cut it into thin strips and hung it outside their tipis to prevent it from spoiling. When hard and dried, the meat would be gathered into a pot of boiling water and be cooked. Sometimes it was eaten with out being cooked.
