Walter Festing Sheppard on right. His brother Reginald Sheppard is seated. Walter Shepard was born in England in 1874; died in 1964. Joined the North-West Mounted Police at 21 years of age in 1895. Served 7 years, receiving his discharge after returning from the South African War.
