Postcard collage of the Alberta Hotel, Hotel Vermilion and Brunswick Hotel, Vermilion, Alberta.
R. J. (Jack) McCue built the Alberta Hotel (top) ca. 1905-1906. It was renamed the Vermilion Hotel after the original Vermilion Hotel (bottom left) burned in November 1938. See PD-313-206 for a 1950s view of the former Alberta Hotel. Its original wing was destroyed by fire in 1979. The Johnstone brothers built the Brunswick Hotel (bottom right) ca. 1905-1906. See PD-313-205 for a later view of the Brunswick. Published by Warwick Brothers & Rutter, Toronto.
