L-R: G.H. Wilkins; Walter Hill Moodie. Moodie lived in Kaslo from 1896 to 1899. In 1898, he joined the Rocky Mountain Rangers and in 1899, he enlisted as a private in the 2nd Battalion, Royal Canadian Regiment of Infantry for one year's service in the South African War.
