Tom Usher was an excellent fly fisherman and enjoyed fishing along the red Deer River; he used a long split bamboo rod which he brought with him from Scotland; Photograph was taken at the curve in the river below where Mott Creek empties into the Red Deer River at the foot of the coulee.
