Camrose Highway Will Get Priority Says Fallow Considerable fuss has been raised in Camrose this year over the condition of the Wetaskiwin- Camrose highway and the fail- ure of the government to live up to a promise that the road would receive attention this year. According to an article in the Camrose Canadian Hon. W, A. Fallow, minister of public works, hns promised defiaite ac- tion in the spring. Other donations: Drivers Required To Take Tests in 1948 The provincial government will bring a system of teste for those making application for drivers licenses into operation next year. Chis information has been received by officiala of the Alberta Motor Association, Under the system to be made operative, tests will be required by plication for drivers licences for the first time. This will cover a large number of young people who have reached the required age, Regulations also will also re- quire tests in the case of those those who are muking ap who were involved im motor vehicle accidents during the past year. These applicants will be re- quired to satisfy the require- ments laid down in the regulat- ions and they will be given tests under the supervision of the R.O.M.P. The new system will come into operation in time for open- ing of the 1948-49 license year on April 1. Owing to lack of sufficient time to establish machinery, it was found impos- sible to make the plan operative in 1947.
