Published in the Calgary Herald, April 28, 1961. Woman is placing topcoat in the first coin-operated dry cleaning machine in the West. It was installed at a cost of approximately $16,000 for two double units and was the second of its kind in Canada - the other unit was in Toronto. Machines would clean up to 10 pounds of garments or household items for $1.75. It was in operation at RCA Whirlpool Coin Operated Laundry located 1115 Centre Street N.
