Harry B. Spencer and Bill Uren, employees of Canadian Pacific Railway.
Spencer was born in Oxford, Ontario in 1856 and began work with Montreal Telegraph Company and Canadian Express Company in 1868. He was later a telegraph operator for the Grand Trunk Railway and Brockville, Ottawa and Canadian Central Railways. Started with Canadian Pacific as assistant superintendent (later superintendent) of eastern lines in 1883-1896. William James 'Bill' Uren joined Canadian Pacific in 1888 and worked as an agent, operator and despatcher in many places west of the lakehead. He worked as superintendent in Moose Jaw, Cranbrook, Calgary, Toronto and Farnham, before becoming assistant general superintendent in the Quebec district in 1920. He retired in 1933 and died in 1940.
