Robert Taylor Telford family, Leduc, Alberta.
Robert Telford was born in Bryson, Quebec in 1860 and in 1885 joined the North West Mounted Police. In 1889 he resigned from the police and settled in Leduc, Alberta where he ran a stopping house, a general store, and a lumber yard. After 1893 he was postmaster and justice of the peace. He was a member of the Alberta Legislature (MLA) from 1905 to 1913. He died in 1933. Telford married Belle Howard and they had a son, Raymond Telford.
