Reverend and Mrs. Edward F. Wilson.
Reverend and Mrs. Wilson came to Canada in 1868. He began working with the First Nations in the diocese of Algoma. Founded Shingwauk and Wawanish homes for First Nations children, as well as the Washakada home at Elkhorn. When his health failed he went to British Columbia and from 1893 to 1911 acted as rector of Salt Spring Island.
