Sam McGee's funeral at Rosebud Church east of Beiseker, Alberta.

Built in 1909. Sam McGee is buried in the cemetery behind the church. Contrary to legend, Sam McGee did not die in the Yukon but as a result of a stroke on his daughter's farm, eight miles east and three miles south of Beiseker.
