Collected by Sir Edmund Walker, General Manager of the Canadian Bank of Commerce in 1906 during a tour of the Prairie Provinces. The Northcote was built in Manitoba in 1874 and travelled mainly on the North and South Saskatchewan Rivers. It was damaged during the resistance in 1885 and beached at Cumberland House in 1886.
