Wedding picture. William Kirchoff was an American from Dyersville, Iowa. After service in the Spanish American War he moved to Butte, Montana, where he started a coal and wood business. In 1902 he homesteaded in the Nanton area. Margaret Jane Kirchoff was born in 1882 in Morton, Minnesota. In 1899 she moved to Butte, where she worked as a telephone operator. She married Bill Kirchoff in 1903. They had three children.
