The Duke, Prince Arthur was Governor-General of Canada from 1911-1916. The Duke and Duchess, together with their daughter Princess Patricia, made an extensive tour of western Canada in 1912. They travelled by train across Canada and then took a trip by steamer from Vancouver, British Columbia to Prince Rupert, British Columbia. Note Royal Canadian Mounted Police, rear.
