Child, William White, dressed in army uniform. Percy White moved with his brother Arthur to the Nanton area in 1903, homesteading west of the town. After proving up on his homestead, Percy moved to Nanton and worked in C. H. Marshall's hardware store. He joined the 56th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, during First World War, and was wounded while overseas. From his return until retirement in 1952 he worked as a grain buyer for the Alberta Wheat Pool.
