Came to Calgary, 1892, from Springfield, Ontario. First worked for Thos. Underwood as construction foreman. Went into construction business for himself until 1908 when he became an insurance adjuster and evaluator. Served as city alderman and prior to 1914 was director of the Calgary Exhibition company.
