Copied from PD-142. Born in Vernon, British Columbia. Moved to Calgary, at age 10. Enlisted in the 175th battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force, during First World War. Joined Royal Flying corps in 1917 as a lieutenant. During his service, shot down 37 enemy planes. Was originator and first president of Calgary Flying Club. He worked as a stunt flier at rodeos and fairs after the war. During First World WarI he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a squadron leader of several air training stations across Canada.
