Published in the Calgary Herald, July 30, 1973. During a three days of activity at the Sarcee (Tsuut'ina) reserve, four year old Nicholas Herney became Boy Chief, in an initiation ceremony led by Blackfoot Chief Ben Calf Robe. As part of events Blackfoot, Stoney, Cree and Shuswap came together and held ceremonial dancing and gift giving.
