Published in the Calgary Herald, July 25, 1973. Employees from Calgary's Imperial Oil refinery picket during the Western Economic Opportunities Conference. The men were protesting the closure of four Imperial refineries. They wanted a feasibility study of grants that could finance pollution control equipment and other upgrades.
