Published in the Calgary Herald, February 12, 1974. Opening ceremonies, to which the public were invited, being held at the brand new Alberta College of Art. Others attending included: Lieutenant-Governor Grant MacEwan; James Foster, Alberta Minister of Culture Youth and Recreation; Doctor Winston O. Backus, Alberta Minister of Public Works; Fred C. Jorgenson, president of Southern Alberta Institute of Technology; Stanford Perrott, head of the art college; I.H. Kerr, former Alberta College of Art head, when it was at its previous locale at SAIT.
