Sir Edmund Walker, General Manager of the Canadian Bank of Commerce in 1906 during a tour of the Prairie Provinces. Alexandra Hotel was built by Frederick Krause in 1902 and it opened in 1903. It closed during prohibition, then re-opened in the mid-1920s as the Auditorium Hotel and was eventually renamed the Park Hotel.
