'State of Idaho', owned by Bonner's Ferry and Kaslo Transportation company, was launched at Bonner's Ferry on April 8, 1893. She completed her maiden voyage on November 10th at 4am she rammed her bow at new Ainsworth. She was purchased by Alberta and British Columbia Exploration Company and towed by barges to Kaslo for repairs. This Company re-named her 'Alberta'. Buchanan sawmill is shown on right, and planing mill left, centre.
