George Chipman, educator.
From tintype, mounted in enammelled pin. G.F. Chipman was born on Nictaux West farm in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. After receiving his early education he went to Normal School in Truro, graduating in 1900. He served as principal of a high school at River Herbert then came west in 1903. He taught at Beazer and in Leduc area. In 1905 he joined the Manitoba Free Press and in 1909 moved to Grain Growers' Guide where he acted as editor until his death in 1935
