Born in County Cork, Ireland, Mr. Broderick spent a year at Brandon, Manitoba and then moved to Alberta in 1883. For a time he operated a pack train to Golden, British Columbia carrying supplies for Canadian Pacific Railway construction. In 1886, along with his brothers George and Arthur, he began ranching on the Little Bow river, four miles south-east of High-River. Same as NB-9-46.
