Charles Short, High River, Alberta.
A son of Joseph Short, Charles moved with his family to the High River area in 1883. He later homesteaded west of High River, then for many years was engaged in real estate. He was secretary of the High River school board, town councillor in 1909 and 1915, and mayor of the town in 1910. From 1916 to 1926 he was a justice of the peace. In 1926 Charles moved to Calgary, Alberta, where he was associated with the petrleum industry. Same as NB-9-62.
