Manned by engineering students. Under the direction of the late W. P. 'Bill' Dunbar, they surveyed most of the claims that today form Pine Point Mines Limited lead-zinc mine. A gong was kept in this camp, which was used as a 'homing' device by the surveyors, who sometimes became lost in the surrounding flat countryside.
