Inspector John Douglas Moodie, North-West Mounted Police.
J. Douglas Moodie, 1849-1947, joined the NWMP in 1885 and was commissioned as an Inspector. He served at many posts in Alberta, Saskatchewan and northern Canada before he retired as a Superintendent in 1917. Patterned after the British Army lancer, his uniform is dark blue with black trim. The one star rank badge on each side of the front opening of the collar iientifies him as an Inspector. Copy of PA-278-9.
