A twenty minute time exposure, a dull morning, store open at 8:00 a.m. Photographer arrived soon after opening, set up his camera. The Priddis mail carrier arrived soon afterwards. He had grocery orders for us to put up, had to be on his way before 8:30 a.m. Photographer remarked, 'Go ahead, boys, put up your orders. Keep moving, do not stop moving.' I walked up to the store room twice on stairs. We went out the swinging doors at back several times. Orange meat sign will give you a grin, today we call them corn flakes. Three pounds for twenty-five cents, cranberries. The three pound tins of Tetleys' tea in foreground sold for one dollar. The store was located in the sandstone building, NW corner of 8th Avenue and Centre Street. In 1958 the grocery department of 1900 is a shoe store.
