The 10th Battalion Calgary Highlanders band was formed in 1914 under the leadership of Sergeant James. It served overseas with the battalion. The band disbanded on it's return to Calgary, Alberta, but was reformed in the early 1920's. During the 1930's the band became solely a pipe band.
