The members of the Olds Beef Club are breathing easier now that their animals are sold. Two weeks ago those who had heifers, cows and calves took part in the “4-H on Parade” at the Calgary Stampede grounds. Those taking part from Innis Lake were Lorne Peterson, Anna and Teena Pedersen, Wade & Kendra Leonard, Raymond King and the three Durands, Tracy, Doug and Brett. Wade Leonard won the reserve champion- ship; Raymond King won first for Junior grooming. Doug Durand was a very busy fellow for he won several awards - 2nd in Showmanship in Club competitions; the reser- ve showmanship in the “‘Inter-club’’ com- petition and his 2 year cow-calf won second place in his division.
