We WANS The regular meeting of the Glamis W.I. was held at the home of Mrs. Carl Pollock with 18 mem- bers and 3 visifors present. The treasurer’s final report was given by Mrs. Martha Finnie. Mrs. Joe Casey gave a good report on the sick fund. . The secretary reported that we would be decorating hospital trays for Easter and that the nospital would be glad to have us knit a dozen pairs of children’s slippers, ages 3 to 6 years. Mrs. Joe Casey volunteered to be social service convenor for our group for this year, We were very happy to have Mrs. Robt. Davidson join our group. She presented us with a W. I. cook book from England, sent over by one of her relatives in Cumberland, Mrs. I. Coulthard. Mrs. Wm. Scholz, our .consitu- ency convenor, was our guest speaker, She reminded us to try and send a delegate to the Bien nial District conference at the Highlander Hotel, Calgary, Feb. 22 and 23. Handicraft tea date was set for April 2nd and constituency conference June 15th. Our roll call was to bring ideas for centennial project in our dist- rict. Several good ideas were giv- en and discussion followed. We had our choice of going along with other groups in constituency pro- ject and also having one in our own group. Five. members were presented with silver coffee spoons and re- tiring officers, Mrs. Jack Stirton, president and Mrs. Martha Finnie, treasurer, were .presented with walnut letter racks. The secretary also received .one for continuing on for* another year. Birthday draw was won by Mrs. Fred Duff and Mrs. Joe Casey’s con- test was won by Miss Doris Back- ous. A most delicious lunch was serv- ed by Mrs. Carl Pollock and Mrs. J. Kjorsvik. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs: J. Kjorsvick with Mrs. Jennie Johnsrud and Mrs..
