Artists from Europe, America, China, Japan and Canada have been secured by the committee in charge of enter- tainment to provide pleasure for the visitors to the Exhibition. Many headliners in the world of vaudvilie will be on the bill, while leading op- eratic singers and radio favorites will also be featured. The revue ‘‘The: Bird of Para- dise,’’ which created a sensation on the continent of Europe, will be the leading spectacle among a stellar number of grandstand attractions. To the strains of dramatic music, girls, beautifully gowned, with grace- ful movements will depict some of the latest. New York, Paris and London dance creations. This is the most tuneful, most lavish, and most magnificent production which has ever been staged at any exhibition. It is a medley of inspiring melody, matchless dancing, clever specialties, hilarious comedy and imported nov- elties. - Everything is in readiness for the opening of the World’s Grain Exhi- bition and Conterence on July 24th. The world’s greatest cereal growers have sent their entries seeking the crown of honor as the best grain pro- ducers in the universe, live stock ex- hibits from all over the North Amer- ican continent, and the greatest of educational and entertainment ex- hibits ever staged in Western Canada will be om view in the World’s Grain Exhibition. building. While the educational aspect of the exhibition will be the greatest ever staged, the same can be said for the entertainment to be presented during the 14 days the exhibition will ran. It is sung by a chorus of 80 voices at the opening of the picture, and is played repeatedly by a large symphony orchestra as the majestic fate motif which dominates through- out the production. It is all won- derful. Great as life itself. Titanic in its power. The picture of the generation. ‘‘Cavalcade” .. shows simple love story filmed in epic form. In addition to ‘‘Cavalcade,’’ there is a technicolor ‘‘Silly Sym- phony,’’ the story of three little pigs, and Paramount’s latest news Wednesday night only, | Ruth Chatterton is the star in *‘The Rich Are Always With Us,’’ ina story of a woman that didn’t want his kisses, yet. fought for his. love. Much local interest is being taken in the baseball tournament to be held at Hainstock on Wednesday next, July 19th. The town team has made entry and will, no doubt, have a large following of fans. Other teams to take parr in the tourna- ment are Eagle Hill, Garrington, Hillcrest and Hainstock. A girls’ softball contest will also be a feature teams entered being Harmattan, Eagle Hill, Hainstock. The wrestling bout held in the rink Thursday of last week was very disappointing, Jack Forsgren not ap- pearing owing (according to an an- nouncement - from the ring) to an injury in ‘a previous bout.
