John RedgweU passed away September 27, 1990 at the Olds Nursing Home at the age of 90 years. He was born in Walthamstow, London, England July 10, 1900 and emigrated to Canada with his family in 1907 landing at DeSeronto, Ontario. He married Neva Hambly in September 1923 in Napanee, On- ' tario and they moved to Hesketh, Alberta in March 1924 where they farmed in the Pope Lease area for 44 years. He moved to Olds in April 1978 and resided at the Mountain View Lodge for 10 years and two years at the Olds Nursing Home. He worked with Boy Scouts in his younger days, was a member of Orange Lodge in Hesketh and the Masonic Lodge in Carbon. He worked on the church board of the Carbon United Church for some years. He loved to sing and work in his garden. He was predeceased by his living wife Neva, in March 1978 and three brothers Beniah, Sidney, Fredrick and , : one sister Lilian. He leaves to mourn his passing, three sons, David and Joyce Redgwell, Vermilion, Alberta, Robert and Shirley Rodgwell, London, Ontario, Wilson and Cheryl RedgweU, Olds and one daughter Mary and Donal Leach, Olds, Alberta; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to assist in Spinal Cord Injury Rehabilitation, c/o Calgary General Hospital, 1841 Centre Avenue E. Calgary, Alberta T2E 1A1. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 2, 1990 at 10:30 a.m. from Olds United Church in Olds, Alberta with Reverend Leonard Ling officiating. Interment foUowed at 2:30 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, a. Calgary. Pallbearers were Brian Redgwell, Gordon Redgwell, Trevor next county paper Oct. 12 1990 reported in March and April.
