Horace and Helen Not- ley and Heather Johnson spent a few days visiting with Gary and Leslie at Lac La Biche. Fishing Is good there at this time of the year. Just a reminder the pic- nic at the school will be on Sunday June 25th, at noon. A lovely shower for Mr. and Mrs. Kelvin Grabow- ski was held at the school recently. The young _ couple are making their home near Claresholm. Last Wednesday was clean-up day at the school. This took the place of our June meeting. It was @ busy place Inside and out. It was nice to have Mrs. Jean Stott and her 2 little ones, and her Uncle Dick Scholes there. Jack and Jean Stott are the new residents at the farm by the school. We welcome them to the district and look forward to seeing them often. A shower for Joanne. Old business was dis- cussed which was our Achievement Day which was held on April 29th. New business was dis- cussed was the. family supper held. on May 27th, 1978. There was no correspondence. Pig and Poke was won by Kara McCullough. The hostess prize was won by Terry Morphy. We had 2 guests. Mrs. Royston and Glenda Viney. Glenda is our Dis- trict representative and Mrs. Royston is our Re- gional representative. . Jackie Halina adjourned the meeting. We did our craft which’ was flowers for the hospi- tal trays. Lunch was served by Kelly Bluck and Kathy Haugen. On behalf of all the girls we would like to thank Mrs. Roemmele for letting us hold our meeting at her , home. Thank you Mrs. Royston and Glen Viney for attending our meeting. Family Supper | Our family supper was held May 27th, 1978 at the Presbyterian Church in | Olds. It was a potluck | supper followed by enter- tainment. Shelley Roemmele, | Carla Darling and Kara McGulloug sang and the ’ older girls put on a skit. Our $50 raffle was won . by Troy Morphy. There are going to be 9 _ girls from our group going to Alberta Womans Week heid at the Olds College. The girls going are: Terry Morphy, Cyndi Carlson, Lorene and Kelly Bluck, Kathy Haugen, Wanda Gratz; Patti Gratz, Jackie Halina and Rhonda Cal- uorl. Glad to report that George Harper Is home again after spending some time in Calgary Hospital, Alma stayed in Calgary while George was there. We all wish him a speedy recovery. A pleasant evening was spent at the new home of Shelia and Ken McDermid on. Sunday, June 11th when some fifty relatives gathered for a pot luck supper, and they all admired the beautiful new house. Best wishes to the McDermid family for a happy life In their new abode. Ennerdale Ladies Aid. estner Elliott welcomed six members and two ex- members of the Aid to our meeting on Thursday, 15th of June. Esther took the chair as © Alma our president was in Calgary and unable to attend. Meeting opened with the Lord’s Prayer, instead of our usual hymn. An acknowledgement was read from the Cancer Society for a donation received. The roll call was favorers for the hospital trays for Father's Day, vand we are grateful to |Mrs. Doyle and Mrs. Epp ifor their help with these. Mrs. Young’s surprise was a Father’s Day verse- Your Name by Edgar A. Guest. Lettie Harper to have the next surprise. Olive’s birthday gift was won by Margaret Grant. Esther gave a contest, guessing the contents ofa grocery bag and we all took home some goodies. At the conclusion of the meeting Esther served a delicious lunch.
