THURSDAY, MARCH 20, 1957 The March meeting of Samis W. I. was held at the home of Mrs. H. E. Royston with 18 members and four visitors answering the roll call by telling of a house cleaning hint or short cut. The meeting opened in the cust- umary manner with our President, Mrs H. Jones in the chair. Bills and Communications were dealt with The Treasurer, Mrs. E. Jacobson, gave the report on the Miller sale and the card party. Both projects were profitable. Mrs. J. Pederson collected the recipes from each member. Mrs. W. Wilkenson reported 02 the Community Lounge Tea and the success of the pie and coffee bar which is supported by our group. She suggested that we hold a round table discussion on the topic before another year is out. Mhs. T. Pollock gave a very interesting paper on Health. Her topic was “The Human Eye”. Mrs. W. Wilkenson gave a report on the Cancer Workshop. The: sick and visiting committe reported that they had sent out five cards to members and friends and a basket of fruit to a sick mem ber in the hospital. The hostess prize was won by ff Mrs. F. Bagg. Several interesting contests completed the afternoons activities. The assisting hostesses Mrs. H. Thompson and J. Church served a very: appetizing lunch. The April meeting will be held at the home of Mrs. W, Wilkenson on the usual date, April 2nd. ANNOUNCEMENT Mr. and Mrs. Orville G.
