A SuccessruL Fair.— The Har- mattan W.I. put on their. 2nd Carni- val-Fair at the community hall Aug. 26th. There were about 350 ent- ries, and with ideal weather and a large crowd the fair was an undoubt- ed success, Thanks are due mainiy to Mrs. L. MacDowell, who worked untiringly and who proved a most capable organizer. Thanks are also due to Mr. J. H. Johnson for his valuable assistance in securing some excellent prizes, and also to trades- people of Olds for their generous support in that way. Boy Scouts, camping in the neighborhood, also rendered assistance in many ways. Their work in the kitchen especially was much appreciated by those in charge. Thanks are also due to Carlson, Mr. and Mra. J. Strong, Mr. Dench and Mrs. Conrad, for attending the ice cream booth; Mr. Cauch and Mr. Sturrock for takin charge of the races for young and old; Mr W.
