Leading local society. Charlie Foss, a bass horn player, who played with Calgary bands, was a member of the Citizens' band. The band was founded by A.L. Augade in 1903. F.A. Bagley was director of the band from1907 to 1920. In 1921 the Citizens' band was officially adopted as the brass and military band of the Calgary Elks. In 1922 the band became inactive.
