February 27, 1988 to honor Mrs. Elizabeth Beckerjeck on the occasion of her 100th birthday. f Auxiliary Hospital news -February 2 was a Tuesday month and each received a bouquets and gifts. when The Caravan Clothing were here with their fashion show and sale. It was held from 10:00 to 2:00, so a large crowd attended and 4 number of sales were made. The- ladies who acted as models looked nice and did very well. Saturday, February 6 was a cool day when six residents, two guests and two staff went to Lethbridge in the afternoon to see the Ice Capades. It is always a sight to see the skaters do the performances in their beautiful costumes, The timing and precision in their acts is certainly marvellous. Sympathy goes out to the family of Elvin Simmons. a bus ride to the Willow Creek * Park. Monday, February 22 was a nice day for the pets to visit, which. were three dogs and one cat. All received their share a Petting. Wednesday, February 24 the United Church ladies made a return yisit to entertain us. This time we enjoyed slides and commentary by Mrs. Thelma La Fountain, of Denmark and Sweden:. Seven residents had a birthday this residents were in the Rec Room to help celebrate the birthday of Mrs. Elizabeth Beckerjack, who, on this day had reached her hundredth year. Congratulations go to her on reaching this age. Many messages were read, including one from the Queen, the Prime Minister, and the Premier of Alberta. Winner in Roll Call was Shirley Clark, Grace Norgard was sec- ond, and Ellen Dougan was in .26 third place. The evening's program was a set of three competitions from the Prairie Region of Photo- graphic Arts. Shown were the oy top 25 percent of the entries in the Everest Trophy: The Travel- ling Salon, and the Russell Trophy. Three club members won belt buckles in the Claresholm Fish Game Photography Competi- tion in February. Wayne Hinkle was first in Landscape, Hazel Hudson in Open Class. and Deidre Williams won in the Wildlife class.
