George Lane.
George Lane one of the pioneer ranchers in Alberta shooting during his prairie chicken hunt. The Bar U Ranch was George Lane's original and largest holding but he extended greatly as he took over properties. Primarily a cattle rancher, he went extensively into the breeding of Percheron horses and into farming on a large scale.
