Banffites Before a Wmnipeg Audience The many friends of Miss Ethel and little Miss Vivar Gailetly, who are at present in Winnipeg, will he pleased to learn that their talents ar winning the same approbation abroad as has always been accorded their performances, at homfe.-Regarding a recent production of H. M. S. Pinafore, the Winnipeg Telegram says: If Mrs. Billington's revival of Pinafore will be remembered for nothing else, it certainly was remarkable for the singing of Miss Nora Vigor in the senior ciiste, at the Winnipeg j theatre last evening, and Miss Lottie Marcy in the jun'ior caste. She has brought to the notice of the public two singers who should certainly be heard of in the future. Miss, Vigor, who, it is understood, is a member of a localchoi , sang the difficult part of Josephine in a very finished manner. ' She is possessed of a sweet soprano., voice and her tones were true, pure and clear. Miss Ethel Gailetly as Hebe looked the part to perfection and sang well. Miss Edith Hill as Buttercup sang and acted very creditably, but a little lighter make-up would have improved her appearance considerably. Of the male members of the caste. Alf Boyce took the part of Sir Joseph Porter, and looked-and acted well, Bert Boyce was . a decided go as Ralph Rackstraw, and A. Kirke as the Captain did well for a first atte.npt.G-vrdy Fox was funny and J. E-Monkman, actingas the boatswain, was drstrnctly good, -as' was his song For he's an Englishman, The children elicited .hearty applause. .Little Viva Gailetly was excellent in her taking little song.- ''Wount You Play House -With Me? for which she was encored.'. The Free Kress also says: ' Lit lie Miss Galletly's song 'Won't You Play H gt;use With Me' was a gem, the little lady scoring a big success and pleasing all by her winsome tatut , .'
