William Edward 'Bill' Plowman was born in London, England. He came to Canada and worked as a wood-turner in Edmonton, prior to enlisting in the 49th Battalion, Canadian Expeditionary Force. Five years ago he became house steward of the local branch of the Canadian Legion at the Memorial Hall. This photograph shows the Canadian National Railways pipe band, which played 'The Lament' at the graveside. Additional views in series.
