In automobile L-R: Mrs. Craufurd and daughter Clare Craufurd; on ground, L-R: Mr. Craufurd and Ernest Boalch, a paymaster for the Canadian Pacific Railway. Note picnic box between them. The Craufurd family came to Calgary ca. 1900 from Scotland. Mr. Craufurd was a remittance man. Daughter Clare was born in 1894 and attended school in Calgary. She later married Ernest Boalch and became the first President of the Canadian Federation of Home and School Associations in the late 1940s.
