Southern Alberta Oils Company drilling rig, Turner Valley, Alberta.

The company was owned by William Livingston of Calgary, Alberta. The well, which came in in the fall of 1914, was located a mile south of the Dingman well. It produced about 40-50 barrels per day. A small refinery was built to produce naptha to sell to farmers in the area. The company was sold to Imperial Oil in 1926.
