Connaught Tunnel opened December 1916 eliminating operating difficulties over original route through Rogers Pass. The tunnel, 29 feet wide and 23 feet high follows a straight line under Mount Macdonald; eastern entrance below Hermit and western entrance at Beaver Valley. Copied from S-93.
