William Tomison's mausoleum.
Horizontal slab bears an almost obliterated inscription as follows: 'To the memory of William Tomison native of this parish being along time chief factor of governor in Hudson's Bay Company North America and by good management of 47 years service to that honourable company he was enabled to found this school for education of poor children of this island of South Ronaldshay and Burra. He left two hundred pounds to the poor of this parish. He departed this life on 26 March 1829 aged 90 years.
