Four Royal North-West Mouted Police officers died while making a patrol from Fort McPherson to Dawson, Yukon Territory. The officers left on December 21, 1910; their bodies were found in March, 1911. The officers who died were: Inspector Francis J. Fitzgerald; G.F. Kinney; R.O.H. Taylor; and guide Special Constable Sam Carter.
