KATIE HELMER Passed away March 14, Mrs: Katie Helmer, Claresholm, aged 79 years. HUGO CARL SCHULER A Claresholm resident since 1916, Hugo Carl Schuler, passed away in Calgary on Monday, March 8. He was 87 years old. Mr. Schuler-is the beloved father of Mrs. Forrest (Lena) Fenton, Mrs. Lorne (Elsa) Houck and Mrs. Joe (Esther) Weerstra, Calgary, Harry, Creston, BC, and Raymond Claresholm. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A He was predeceased by his wife Margaret, January 30, 1973 and by two sisters and two'brothers. Barn at Henricks, Germany, he came to Canada in 1912 to Winnipeg, Manitoba and resided at Edmonton, Slocan City, BC, and in 1916 moved to Claresholm district, where he farmed until moving to the town of Claresholm in 1954. He was a member of the Alberta Wheat Pool and Golden Age Club. f Private, family services took place. at Leyden s Chapel of Remembrance Calgary, Wednes- day, March 10, 11:30 a.m., Rev. EW. Graveside services were at the family plot, Claresholm Cemetery Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. Pallbearers were: Lorne Houck, Merlin Houck, Forrest Fenton, Joe Weerstra, Harry Schuler and Raymond Schuler.
