On Tuesday evening, June 10, a public meeting twas hold in the town hall, for the pur- pose of nominating the young ladies from whom will be selected the Jub - Jeo Queens, and hor maids of honor, for the Jubilee on July. 1st, 2nd, and rd. Fhe hall was filled with girls of all ages from four years and up, while the men and boys looked on ad- miringly. Mayor McDonald explained what was wanted, and that each young lady when nominated would accept or: re: ject the honor.
