Page 16 police reports Olds Olds RCMP report from January 6 to January 12 they received a total of 71 complaints with 29 originating in town, 20 from the rural area and 22 were calls to assist other police forces. Six criminal complain- ts were received from the town and eight were received from the rural area. There were no im- paired drivers charged in either area nor were there any charges laid under the Liquor Con- trol Act. The Highway Traffic Act saw five charged in town and two charged in the rural area. Three were charged under the Motor Vehicle Administration Act in the town. The town saw one ac- cident resulting in damages over $500 and the rural area saw three accidents. There were no injury accidents. Police Log January 7 at 01:45 - 56 Street, Olds, Alta. January 8 at: 10:30 - Cen-Bow Services, Bowden, Alta. Com- plaint of attempted break, enter. of Garage and break, enter and theft from Cafe. Un- disclosed amount of cash stolen from cafe. January 8 at 11:25 - Sportsman Inn Restaurant, Olds. Complaint of N.S.F cheque. January 10 at 08:50 - bags of animal feed from the back of a parked truck. January 10 at 15:55 - Torrington, Alta. Com- plaint of wilful damage to a gate. January 10 at 21:35 - 47 Ave., Olds. Com- plaint of break and en- ter to a private residen- ce. Nothing appears stolen. January 11 at 11:25 - Olds Inn Parking Complaint of wil damage to a parked vehicle. Driver’s win- dow broken and tires flattened. January 11 at 18:37 - Inn parking lot, Olds. Complaint of wilful damage to a parked vehicle. Damage caused by unknown vehicle spinning tires and. throwing up stones. January 12 at 23:00 - Bowden, Alta. Com- plaint of. taking auto without owner’s con- sent. Matter still under investigation. Didsbury Didsbury RCMP from January 6 to 12 received 18 complaints from the town of which six were criminal code related and 26-from the rural area of which four were criminal code ted. One liquor ticket was handed out in the rural area. One traffic ticket was handed out. in the town and seven were handed out in the rural area. One impaired driver was charged in the rural-area. There were six ac- cidents in the rural area none of which were in- jury accidents. January 7 a 8650 radio cassette unit was stolen from out of the car of a Carstairs resident. The theft is valued at under $1,000. reasonable doubt favors accused Leslie Keith Steward, 41, was acquitted in Olds Provincial Court Thursday of two counts of assault and one count. of obstruction of justice.
